DaVinci is the collection of a DSP-based system-on-chip with integrated DSP and ARM cores, accelerators and peripherals running third party software.
The ARM compiler of the Multi IDE has been combined with TI’s Code Composer Studio IDE compiler for the TMS320C64x+ core.
As a result the IDE will support the processors with an integrated ARM core and the C64x DSP core. It will support advanced kernel and OS-aware debugging for Green Hills Software’s Integrity and Velosity real-time operating systems (RTOS) as well as Linux for DaVinci technology.
For TI’s C64x+ core, Multi is integrated with TI’s DSP/BIOS real-time kernel, including support for full DSP/BIOS kernel awareness from Multi. For comms between the ARM and C64x+ core, Multi, Linux and Integrity have support for TI’s DSP/BIOS Link, an inter-processor comms library.
Developers employing Linux on the ARM core of the DM644x processors can now use Multi’s Linux debug capabilities.
